Crafting a wooden barrel begins with a careful selection of the best wood available. This requires expertise. This is something we attach great importance to.
It combines traditional Japanese methods with modern methods. Of course, the bathtub will not leak. Take all necessary precautions and treat the wood with linseed oil and lavender oil.
What are the advantages of our wooden bathtubs?
We recommend using wooden tubs regularly to prevent them from drying out and cracking, but we know this may not be possible for the average user in everyday life. Materials used are resistant to drying shrinkage and cracking.
Are there other wood alternatives?
Yes, we also offer native Turkish Cedar and Mahogany Sipo alternatives. The advantage of cedar is its pleasant aroma, while mahogany has a darker, deeper color. Wood is a natural insulator. Water stays hot much longer compared to other alternatives.
What about maintenance?
As maintenance separate from regular cleaning, oiling can be done semi-annually or as needed. This is a very simple process and you can easily do it yourself. You don't have to do this oil treatment forever. After a year or two, after a few oil treatments, the tub may reach equilibrium (especially if essential oils are added to the bath water) and may not need to be re-oiled.
Note: These bathtubs are made to order. The completed bathtub takes approximately 2 to 6 weeks from order. Shipping can take between 4 to 12 weeks, or the item can be sent via Courier (7 to 10 days) and additional fee may vary.
